Complex infrastructure projects require careful planning, management and implementation at all levels. Woldmo Consulting are the provider of such services, based on our background experience from a number of Norwegian and international infrastructure projects. Management In the design phase the company can assist the client with its constructability studies, engineering, detail planning, and budgeting and risk assessment. In the tendering phase, our services could include method statements, capacity assessments and tender costing. In the construction phase we will be able to assist with construction management, detail design, working procedures, implementation of vendor negotiations, preparing vendor contracts, training of management and production control. Equipment Cost-effective project implementation requires custom made construction equipment with the proper specifications and capacity for the actual tunnel construction and support. The company has extensive experience with evaluation and operation of tunnel equipment and offers advice and mediation of special equipment for tunnel protection. The company has broker agreements with some major Norwegian tunnelling contractors and thereby access to their idle second hand construction equipment that can be sold directly from the contractor to customers in international projects. Dissemination of specialists and equipment operators for training and project implementation is part of the services. Materials Building materials used for tunnel support and waterproofing are decisive for the functionality and durability of the structure. Examples of such materials will be rock bolts, reinforcing arches, sprayed concrete, fibre reinforcement, grouting materials, waterproofing membranes and materials for passive fire protection of tunnel systems and caverns. The company offers builders and contractors to support the design of specifications. We also perform evaluation and verification of the materials included in the permanent support and protection of tunnels. |
